INTO THE WILD

FILM FESTIVAL

This year, our film festival finds its home in the beautiful city of La Garriga, located just a short train ride from Barcelona. Known for its modernist architecture, thermal springs, and stunning natural surroundings, La Garriga is a place where history, culture, and creativity come together — making it the perfect setting for a celebration of cinema.

At the heart of this year’s festival is a true gem of Spanish film heritage: the Alhambra de la Garriga cinema. Opened in 1914, the Alhambra is one of the oldest cinemas still in operation in Spain. With its classic façade, rich history, and intimate atmosphere, the venue offers a unique blend of nostalgia and authenticity. Watching a film here isn’t just about the screen — it’s about stepping into a space where generations have gathered to experience the magic of storytelling.

Hosting the festival in such a historic venue pays tribute to the deep roots of cinema while also looking ahead to its future. Combined with La Garriga’s welcoming community, scenic streets, and creative spirit, the Alhambra provides an unforgettable backdrop for filmmakers, audiences, and artists to connect and celebrate their shared love of film.

The festival is designed to celebrate the richness and diversity of contemporary cinema through a carefully curated program of screenings that highlight a wide variety of formats, genres, and voices. Over several days, the festival showcases an exciting mix of national and international short films, offering audiences a glimpse into fresh storytelling from around the world.

In addition to short films, the program features music videos created by some of today’s most innovative visual artists — where music and imagery merge to push the boundaries of creativity. Documentaries take center stage as well, bringing powerful real-life stories to the screen, while a selection of trailers gives a taste of what's to come from emerging and established filmmakers alike.

We also shine a spotlight on the next generation of talent with a vibrant lineup of student film projects, reflecting bold ideas and original perspectives from young creators.

This diverse structure ensures that there’s something for everyone — from experimental visuals to moving narratives — and invites viewers to explore cinema in all its forms. Each screening is not just entertainment, but a space for discovery, dialogue, and inspiration.
